Google bringing AI tech to Replit

Google Cloud  will bring  its language-generating AI technology to Replit, a code-editing platform for developers.  Under the new strategic  partnership , Google Cloud will host Replit's integrated development environment (IDE), its cloud-based platform for programmers to write and edit code. Replit offers an AI programming tool,  Ghostwriter , that offers in-line code suggestions and other features. Google will provide AI models and computational resources to Replit, which claims 20 million users of its cloud software development platform. Through Ghostwriter, developers will gain access to Google Cloud infrastructure, foundational models, and services. Ghostwriter will tap Google's language-generating AI tech to boost its code suggestions and other abilities. The collaboration will also enable Google Cloud and Workspace developers to utilize Replit's code editing platform, which was previously built on Replit's own AI technology.
