For now, Tongyi Qianwen is exclusively available to corporate clients through invite-only beta testing.
Alibaba Cloud describes its new service as a large language model (LLM) serving as a “productivity assistant and idea generator.”
The new AI chatbot was reportedly developed through Damo Academy, Alibaba’s in-house research and development initiative dedicated to discovering and developing cutting-edge technologies.
In Sept. 2022, Damo Academy unveiled AliceMind, a collection of Damo Academy’s LLMs that Alibaba says could be used to support use cases for e-commerce, smart city, agriculture, healthcare, autonomous driving, smartphones, photography, and IoT.
